Storm Soup
From 1ste Gimnechiske Wiki
Storm Soup is a meal that was prepared on ships during periods of bad weather sailing. The reason for this was that during the heavy movement of the vessel, preparing a proper meal was difficult, and eating a full meal was vital for the crew to function. When missing out on important nutrition groups, sicknesses like English Disease or seasickness can put parts or whole crew out of function. For sailing vessels this is of vital importance, but smaller motor vessels usually have a very small crew, and for these vessels this is also important. Storm Soup have become a normal meal on any Norwegian Trade Vessel.
