Rice, the Brazilian Way

This is the way rice is prepared in Brazil, and an addition to almost every meal.

  • Garlic
  • Salt
  • Rice
  • Soya Oil, or other cooking oil

Mesh or beat one clove of garlic (or finely chopped goes aswell) into a pan, and add oil. Heat the garlic and add rice, aproximately one large cup per person, and heat it on the heated pan, add water so that you submerge the rice completely, and continue to heat it on the pan. Add salt as you see fit. Add more water later if it boiles dry. If any surplus water when finished, pour it off. In Brazil, this corse is often served with fejão.
