NeverWinter Nights
I am a Neverwinter Night player, but waited to start playing until I got a stable non-pc version of the game. NWN is a computer based RPG game, developed by BioWare, and it is based upon TSR's D&D 3e rules and the Forgotten Realms game setting. On this page I will tell you about the realm I am making, my servers, my characters, and what ever I have on my heart regarding NWN. I will not use energy on NWN2, since the development on the Mac version started too late, and I have gotten myself a familly. Some of my productivity on other projects might soar from more NWN game time, but it will for sure be more to read here. Until now my play time have been restricted to when I have had time to play on my Mac Mini, I have installed NWN (with expansion packs) on my Macbook Air, and continued from where I got on the Mini. This will hopefully kick this page further. Might even invest in a few other RPG based games for Mac.
My Servers
My servers (currently only Gimnechiske.Org-ded) is offline until further notice.
Main Campaigns
Experiences from the main campains will be stated under here. If you are a player yourself, stop reading, as it might contain spoilers, or information here might be based on assumptions rather than facts.
Prelog
The prelog is prety straight forward. You cannot continue without completing the tasks at your hand. The only thing I can put a finger on, and should have been dealth with long ago is that it is hard for a sorceror to complete the spell caster test before first level advance (or did I really miss placing spells on character creation?)
Chapter 1
A problem I had here was the ability to hit hard. A low level sorceror have few spells at disposal, few hit points, and low skills in combat, but still I chose a thief as companion. I find it more important to open locked doors and boxes and not to mention disarm traps, than to actually hit hard. As a combat aid I use my familiar (the imp BSD), my companion, and summoned monsters if necessary. On lower levels these summoned monsters where more of importance than on higher levels.
After playing a long time (with a long break) I had become to big to restart on the Prologue, so I started to tidy up in the quest log. I had no overview of which quest had been done, and what was left, who I had talked to, and so forth. Cleaning in the quest log is quite some work, but I get progress as I go, and quite some quests have been cleaned out. There was a small surprise in the end of Chapter 1, but that lead up to a good start on Chapter 2.
Chapter 2
I started chapter 2 without a henchman, and found out that the henchman had taken a really good beating for me. Going around chapter 2 as a lone sorcerer was hard, even if he was level 9. The challenge rating is definitely higher.
After picking up the henchman again, things got a little easier, though still not without problems. It is clearly tougher in Chapter 2, though the spell kicking ability of my sourceror get me through most obstacles as long as I can rest enough to have my most used spells replenished.
Characters
Gestur Thin
Male Human sorceror. A collector of too many items, and love to hurl magic missiles in the direction of enemy.
