Ancient Earth

Ancient Earth is a collection of Rolemaster settings for historical earth.

General Notes

The world is a semi flat courved disc, it holds one large continent, and a few smaller ones. In north is an area populated by Vikings, this area haev several resemblences with Scandinavia. West of Scandinavia is a group of islands, one large, with a few groups of smaller islands. There are a few Viking settlements along the coasts and north on these islands, though the rest is populated by Brittons and Normanns (setting of Robin Hood). Futher to the south is areas collonized by a large empire (Romens) and east of the Romens a very cultured Greeks. Romens and Greeks occupy the north side of an ocean surrounded by inhabbited land (the Mediterania), east of this ocean is a desert nation of Arabs (Arabian Nights), and the eastern part of the south side is an Egyptian nation, further west is very lightly populated, and consists of a few nomadic tribes of Arabs, and a few black settlements in addition to a few Roman settlements, though these are few and in constant war with the local tribes. Across the ocean to the west is 3 smaller continents, the northern most is called Vineland, and is broadly populated by screllings, a savage race of indians encountered by Vikings who have a few small settlements there, further south is Atlantis, a lost continent with several references in Greek mythology, and south of that again is a jungle world (Amazonia). Further east of Arabia isolated behind a huge mountain range is three large Oriantal nations, with different structures (China, Japan and Korea).
